(...)“Listen to the funky bass!” The notes dropped by Tiffany Slim – whose slender silhouette controls a feline playing – deep and powerful (definitely don’t go on appearances), groove to call some other, those of Mr Tchang’s Chinese guitar, maître-chanteur of his six-strings that sets on fire every Blues stage of France since ten years.

Formed in 2002, the duo at the origin of the Texas Sluts has allied with Big Slim, incisive second guitar, Professor X and his subtle jazzy incursions on the keyboards, Fire Vince on the drums, who supports the edifice with a furious elegance. Based on the soulful voice, the instrumental brio and the electric power of Mr Tchang, the band has built a repertoire of multiple influences: southern soul from Hi-Records and Stax labels, James Brown’s funk, Johnny Guitar Watson, the Isley brothers, contemporary blues by Albert King, Robert Cray or Bobby Rush.
